Senior Process Technician - Technology Development
Westec Environmental Solutions has an opening in Kahalui, HI for a Senior Process Technician. The person will be responsible for laboratory research in the general area of gas to liquid mass transfer in a novel absorber column that is under development. Focus areas include: testing and evaluation of new absorber configurations, absorber fabrication, test stand enhancements/maintenance and conducting basic chemical evaluations including titrations. Candidate will be expected to be able to work independently as well as in a team environment, have a good foundation in statistical analysis of experimental data, produce timely written and oral reports and have excellent laboratory hygiene/safety skills. A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/ChemE is highly desired. BS/BA/AA in other science fields will be considered as long as the candidate has experience in a research setting. Candidate must be proficient in MS Applications such as WORD and Excel. A working knowledge of AutoCAD will be considered a plus. A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or Qualifying Asylee/Refugee). Although US based the position may require travel to Europe and Australia and temporary relocation.
